Reader Praise for “Primordium”
Honestly one of the best horror anthologies I’ve ever read. Horror anthologies can be hit and miss at times, but ‘Primordium’ is written by one author and you can tell a lot of work has gone into this collection. The short stories are extremely creative, varied in content and all individually excellent. Normally, I would not read an anthology more than once, but Harveson has quite a unique way of connecting the Primordium stories to his ‘Snake in the Willows’ series, where full length books are created out of some of the characters. All the books are interconnected, meaning that you are always discovering new things about each character as the series develops. What’s also great about this series is that the stories and characters are multidimensional, constantly moving and evolving, making them difficult to predict. I definitely recommend reading this series.
